Cushionaire Marketing Inc. was first formed in the mid ‘90's to provide a marketing solution for the “Cushionaire” line of new generation undercushion materials (for carpets) manufactured by Multiweb Laminations Inc. These are a very exciting range of undercushion materials that feature a “cross-linked” foamed polyethylene substrate to provide a luxurious feel to the carpet and provide a totally waterproof, non-allergenic, pet proof support to your carpet.
Having performed our mandate, which was to get this environmentally friendly product out to the marketplace, we decided to concentrate on our 'non skid' products and especially bringing out our Karma Care range of affordable 'sticky' yoga mats.
We discovered that there was a great need for materials to stop area rugs
slipping on hardwood, laminate, or ceramics floors, people liked the look
of hard floors but wanted the acoustical properties of carpet - so we
produced “Ruglok”. This is a slip-resistant material which is placed under
the rugs to prevent them from slipping and sliding.
A friend, and Yoga student, asked us why we did not manufacture a skid resistant material for Yoga and when we looked into it we decided that we should produce a Yoga mat. We felt that we could produce a quality “traditional style” sticky mat, using a foamed PVC material, for an economical price. So that is how our Karma Care line of products started.
